Greenwood has a neighborhood for every taste. Take time to explore the different housing options, from larger homes in tree-lined neighborhoods, to smaller, more affordable homes in Greenwood's historic districts, to houses with some acreage in outlying areas in Leflore and Carroll County. 


Step 2: Set Up Utilities

Once you’ve found your new home, it’s time to get utilities up and running. The EDF's interactive map can help you determine who your utility providers will be. Here’s who to contact to ensure your electricity, water, gas, and internet services are ready to go on moving day.

Electricity

  • Greenwood Utilities: Call 662-453-7234 or visit greenwoodutilities.com to set up your electric and water service.
  • Delta Electric: Call the Greenwood district office at 662-453-6352 to set up new service, or visit deltaepa.com.
  • Entergy: Call 800-368-3749 or visit entergy.com to sign up if you’re in their service area.

Water & Sewer

  • Greenwood Utilities (see above) also handles water and sewer services for most areas. Make sure to set these up when you arrange your electricity service.
  • East Leflore Water and Sewer provides water and sewer to certain parts of Leflore County. Call 662-453-8860 if you are in their service territory.

Natural Gas

  • Atmos Energy: To arrange your natural gas service, call 888-286-6700 or visit atmosenergy.com.
