Thomas Gregory - Executive Director

Thomas Gregory is the Executive Director of the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation, where he works to improve the quality of life and increase economic growth for Greenwood, Leflore County, and the surrounding area. A certified community planner, Gregory previously worked as the Executive Director of the Mississippi Main Street Association, as a Community Planner for the Small Town Center at Mississippi State University, and as the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Greenwood, Mississippi. Gregory received a Master of City and Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA and a BBA from Mississippi State University. He has been recognized as a “Top 40 Under 40” by the Mississippi Business Journal and a “Top Young Professional” by the Delta Business Journal. He is currently a member of the Delta Leadership Institute. Gregory is the past president of the Mississippi Chapter of the American Planning Association and a past participant in Leadership Mississippi, the Public Interest Design Institute, and the Sustainable Cities Design Academy. He is a board member for Keep Mississippi Beautiful, Main Street Greenwood, the Greenwood-Leflore Chamber of Commerce, the Greenwood Tourism Commission, and the Museum of the Mississippi Delta.

Valour Taylor - Administrative Assistant

Valour serves as the Administrative Assistant for the Greenwood-Leflore-Carroll Economic Development Foundation, supporting the executive director in the day-to-day activities of the economic development organization. Valour is a familiar face in the Greenwood community as the owner of The Bread and Butter Shoppe restaurant in downtown Greenwood. She has a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts from Mississippi State University. Valour brings a wide range of administrative experience to her role at the EDF, previously serving as an administrative manager for the University of Arkansas, among other roles in the corporate world. Valour serves on the Main Street Greenwood board of directors and the Mississippi Valley State University School of Business advisory board.
